Blog Stats Update

We’re working pretty diligently on a new stats system that will offer you a lot more information in a prettier format than we currently do, and also allow you to plug in third-party systems as well. We’ll keep you on the timeline for this going live, but since it’s a pretty common request it seemed like a good idea just to let you know it is coming.

In the meantime, however, the referrer data for some of the top blogs might be out of date for a few days until we get the new system in place. Don’t worry and hold tight, it’ll be back and better than ever in no time.

Update: We’re now collecting stats for the new system, and will be making the data available shortly. 🙂

Even though I have just moved to WordPress from blogger, the only thing that WordPress was without is a counter with good stats. I love the idea of not only a better stats for my blog, but the addition of a third-party counter is even better.

the “views” seems to be different against “hits” used before. right?

it’s an interesting function that “stats” identify out the “referers” of Google as “search engine terms” from others. As you know, Baidu.com is a “another” famous search engine at China, similar service to Google. if possible, i suggest we can process those “referers” from baidu.com just as google.com.

    Thanks, Richard
