New Theme: Spectrum
I’m happy to introduce Spectrum, a fine new addition to our ever-growing collection of themes. Spectrum comes as a colorful and fresh theme sporting a clean layout with one main column and a sidebar on the right. It supports custom menus, background, and header image, so you could configure the look to your liking.

The subtle transparency on the main body is built into the theme so you can put your own background color and image under Appearance → Background and still enjoy the smooth look given by the transparency. Here is an example of how you could change and customize the theme’s default look.

When it comes to showing your images Spectrum hides its sidebar and uses a full-width layout for maximum space so you don’t have to worry about your images looking too small. There is also an option for showing a special colored tag cloud on the theme footer if you feel like it.
Personalize your fonts with Typekit, already supported on the theme stylesheet.
Designed by Ignacio Ricci Spectrum is now available for WordPress.com and, for self-hosted WordPress.org sites, from the WordPress.org Themes Directory.

The layout is pretty, but I don’t like the colours and the position of the tag cloud.

Oh, and by the way, the links to your blog don’t work on the new subscriptions page, but they do work in Freshly Pressed.

I love this theme but It’s a pitty that I can’t set the date in the post. It’s only available in American format.

As of now, Spectrum should display the ‘d/m/Y’ date format if you set it so in your settings.

One of the best things about WordPress (aside from ease of use) is the sheer number of options offered that allow us to make our sites as personal as if they were self-hosted. You all probably don’t get thanked enough, so even though I don’t plan on switching themes right now… thanks for your continued hard work. It is appreciated!

Recently signed up from live spaces transfer. Found most themes a bit naff but like this one a lot. Found a few bugs but I hope these will be ironed out. Has a corporate proffesional look and not to ‘busy’ but flows on the page making a whole image.

I like the theme a lot, just did not find out, if and how I can change the green color of the post header, so that it fits to the background color and the header.

That’s not currently a theme option for Spectrum but If you’re experienced with CSS that’s something that can be accomplished with our Custom CSS upgrade.

It’s a fantastic theme to use. There is only one problem. People I know have a 4:3 screen, one can not scroll through the dropdown menus. But otherwise, a great theme to work with.

I like the theme, except for the font. I wish there were more controls over the basic font of each theme. I really do not like to use sans serif fonts and prefer the look and feel of fonts like Book Antiqua. Wish I had that option.

Visually it looks great!. Though i use already so much colour, bold images that it would be too much for ‘my blog’. I can imagine it works better for someone who writes, hardly uses any images ‘-)

Great time to be using a cherry tree; The month of september & October refers to me as change; Summer into fall, Leaves changing colours, the air crisp and clear, everything is so much brighter;
What does Cherry Tree Symbolize: Cherry tree symbols mean death and rebirth and new awakenings. Because of their considerable value as both food and ornamental plants, many cherry and other fruit tree species have been introduced to parts of the world. Ties well with diversity seeing the world full of colours;
Love the theme and I hope you were thinking the same when you thought of this theme.
