New Theme: Clean Home
Are you the type of person who enjoys simple and uncluttered looks on a theme? Clean Home, our new addition, is a crisp and structured theme wielding a traditional two column layout with two widgets areas.
But don’t let Clean Home’s simple looks deceive you since it hides some great functionality to help you personalize how your site looks. It also comes with four color schemes, including a “snowy” and a “sunny” look —so both northern and southern hemisphere people out there can rejoice.
Go discover more about Clean Home at our Theme Showcase!
Designed by Mid Mo Design, Clean Home is now available for WordPress.com and, for self-hosted WordPress.org sites, from the WordPress.org Themes Directory.

I think it’s too clean for me =p
January 17th, 2011 at 5:37 am
Cool theme! Another option for people like me who like simple, uncluttered pages. Keep em coming WP!
January 17th, 2011 at 7:24 am
Definately too clean for me. But well done, I’m sure a lot of people wil use it.
January 17th, 2011 at 8:37 am
Wow.. Nice theme..
January 17th, 2011 at 9:29 am
I don’t like this.
But i don’t hate it either.
I want a nicer template like today’s weather
January 17th, 2011 at 12:04 pm
Nice. I should try this one
Thank’s
January 17th, 2011 at 1:15 pm
Just wondering. Any way to include both Facebook Like and Share button on posts ?
January 17th, 2011 at 4:19 pm
You should be able to accomplish such by means of the Sharing options.
January 17th, 2011 at 2:37 pm
I’ll use it, sir.
January 17th, 2011 at 4:39 pm
I like the theme of my blog, 100% customized.
January 17th, 2011 at 4:45 pm
Love it, nice & simple!
January 17th, 2011 at 5:06 pm
Played around with it on the weekend. I think I like it. Works for my blog so far.
Thanks!
January 17th, 2011 at 5:19 pm
I really like it. It has a common feeling to zenhabits.net, the ultimate minimalist blog.
January 17th, 2011 at 6:10 pm
I like simple, clean, modern ones, great work!
January 17th, 2011 at 7:19 pm
The “Header Widget” is totally cool! Want more themes that have this very promising feature.
January 17th, 2011 at 11:53 pm
Is there a reason that one cannot choose custom colors for this theme. That is a deal breaker for many, but it looks like an excellent theme.
January 20th, 2011 at 12:10 am
You can choose from four different color schemes, and you can change the background color. If you want further customizations you may want to look into the Custom CSS upgrade.
January 18th, 2011 at 12:56 am
We know your team has utilized it’s ‘no pet urine in the woodfloors’ motto when creating this clean home template. Thus, the very intensely mental-focused will not confuse ammonia headaches with just plain ol’ fashion thinking-hard…good job!
January 18th, 2011 at 9:45 am
I hope you will feature more “flexible” themes.
January 18th, 2011 at 10:47 am
I am trying it out today – it’s ok. I like the white area for the posts and sidebar, but unless we all pay for the privilege of writing our own html & css totally, there will always be limits. Thank you.
January 18th, 2011 at 2:26 pm
Great theme, love clean-looking ones. Thanks for the work.
January 18th, 2011 at 2:48 pm
Looks CLEAN! Haha.
January 18th, 2011 at 3:01 pm
I think it looks great! Lots of white space for easier reading.
January 18th, 2011 at 5:21 pm
Nice and simple.
January 19th, 2011 at 2:39 am
Very clean, minimalist design.
January 19th, 2011 at 1:54 pm
Nice theme. Clean and simple. Maybe I will try it someday, nice work!
January 19th, 2011 at 3:07 pm
Thanks for new theme, but I think Twenty Ten is more beautiful.
January 19th, 2011 at 5:23 pm
Love clean design and header customization. But, bloggers find it user un-friendly and it loses the clean lines with all of the tags, stuff right under the title of the post.
January 19th, 2011 at 6:11 pm
Very nice I might change to this.
January 20th, 2011 at 3:19 am
Shall replace my old theme with this!
January 20th, 2011 at 3:36 am
All of you at WordPress definitely have your act together. I wouldn’t even think of switching to another blog engine. Thanks for all your hard work!
January 20th, 2011 at 8:44 am
Finally, a theme that works a lot like Twenty Ten, but with nicer fonts and some nice features. It’s pretty basic at first, but I’ve tarted it up quite nicely using the standard Appearance settings. Thank you!
January 20th, 2011 at 9:33 am
Wow. They’re cool and simple I like that.
January 20th, 2011 at 12:26 pm
Minimalist style. Love it!
January 20th, 2011 at 3:44 pm
Great, clean look to it. I’ll try it out later today. Hold on, I gotta take this call….
January 20th, 2011 at 4:49 pm
Would be perfect if it had an “asides” format.
January 20th, 2011 at 8:07 pm
Is there a super-cluttered “Hoarders” type theme that is the opposite of this theme? It could be for those of us who find beauty and order in our self-created chaos. I am sure there is some such theme out there, although it is probably quite user-unfriendly.
January 21st, 2011 at 1:24 am
A bit stark for me but we all gotta love something. Busy is for me.
Thanx WP TEAM!
January 21st, 2011 at 2:04 am
Liking it so far!
January 21st, 2011 at 3:02 am
I like the clarity of the theme and the simplicity to use.
Great theme.
January 21st, 2011 at 4:37 am
Thanks for the themes link. It was very helpful.
January 21st, 2011 at 9:52 am
Looks good!
January 21st, 2011 at 5:40 pm
More Themes like Tumblr.
January 21st, 2011 at 7:15 pm
You Beautiful … Love!
January 21st, 2011 at 8:50 pm
It’s too plain
January 22nd, 2011 at 12:03 am
Have in black?
January 22nd, 2011 at 2:16 am
Yep, it is one of the color schemes in Appearance > Theme Options.
January 22nd, 2011 at 1:14 am
I prefer my theme. My blog has an awesome ANIMATED background!
January 22nd, 2011 at 9:28 am
Looks great. Everything is white!
January 22nd, 2011 at 10:57 am
Wow cool…
So simple and fresh.
January 22nd, 2011 at 11:09 am
Somehow, the blue line just seems a tad awkward.
January 22nd, 2011 at 10:31 pm
@Matías:
I love it and probably use it as my blog layout – now that I found out that it got custom menus…
Only criticism: you need to update the description. You wrote (January 14th, 2011 at 5:45 pm)
“The theme supports Custom Menus so you can add drop-downs and a Home tab if you wish. Check the demo blog to see the navigation with drop-down menus working.”
Problem is I don’t see any menu in the demo (Firefox 3.6, Safari on Mac) nor are they mentioned in the show case (yet). That way, I didn’t dare to try. Well, I’m glad I did.
January 22nd, 2011 at 10:41 pm
@Matías:
Updating myself: ok, it’s there in the demo. It’s just the ‘About’ looks so different from a full-fledged menu. And it’s in another position, I got my menu below the title.
(and I was a good citizen and wrote a support message
January 27th, 2011 at 6:50 pm
The menu bar stays at the top right if you have just a few items on it; then it falls below the title. Hope this clears your confusion!
January 23rd, 2011 at 1:53 am
Nice and clean layout; I like it very much and would have given it a whirl if the fonts inside the blog post were not so disappointingly tiny.
January 23rd, 2011 at 2:28 am
I haven’t checked it out yet, but the header widgets seem like something I suggested before, if so, I’ll be super happy! If not, then I can at least say that the theme looks really good.
January 23rd, 2011 at 10:20 am
I like this one. But I don’t like the red headline,… blue or some neutral colors would be better.
January 23rd, 2011 at 12:22 pm
It looks great! I think it would be better if all the fonts are the same.
January 23rd, 2011 at 6:24 pm
Hmmm… I’m not really into it yet I’m one of those people that need something to jump out at me…
January 24th, 2011 at 12:22 am
Cool, neat.
January 24th, 2011 at 2:27 am
Nice, keep up the good work!
January 24th, 2011 at 8:19 am
I like it… Top.
January 24th, 2011 at 11:02 am
Too clean for my taste.
January 24th, 2011 at 1:19 pm
It’s so … clean
Like it. I like simple things … so the person who is reading musn’t read through the way to animated theme.
Keep it working’ WordPress!
January 24th, 2011 at 10:09 pm
Like the simplicity… seems easy to read… not for me, but will watch out for other WordPress blogs using it…
January 25th, 2011 at 12:40 am
Nice theme!
January 25th, 2011 at 9:47 am
Simple and great.
Good work.
January 25th, 2011 at 12:15 pm
I like clean and simple themes!
January 26th, 2011 at 3:07 am
LOVE IT!!! It embeded perfectly into my company’s website blog page, fitting any site theme I applied. PERFECT THEME. Bless you Matias. It had been difficult to apply a theme that matched my site theme or one that didn’t make that page of my site appear way too busy. This theme was the solution. Thank you, Dorothy
January 26th, 2011 at 2:01 pm
I don’t like the plain ones. But, is seems like others do. I like ones were you can design the background and header and all that stuff.
January 26th, 2011 at 6:53 pm
Simple and neat.
January 27th, 2011 at 12:14 am
Is there any theme like this (simple) where the color of the font in the header can be changed? I am looking for something exactly like this but in a dark green font to match my organization’s colors… any ideas?
January 27th, 2011 at 4:12 am
This is such a cunning theme. Looks deceptively simple, but you can actually play around with it, especially the background. One thing I’m not liking is the widget area on the header. Too top-heavy. I’d rather have widget-ready footer like Coraline. Otherwise, great job!!! More themes with customized background options, please!
January 27th, 2011 at 2:35 pm
Dear Matías & WordPress Team,
I want to thank you today for your last years of innovative work.
And for compatibility with the Opera Browser.
All the best for the rest of this new year!
January 27th, 2011 at 2:50 pm
Wow… I like this, thanks to WordPress.
January 27th, 2011 at 6:56 pm
Looks nice!
January 27th, 2011 at 7:55 pm
Now this is really clean! I like it
But I personally prefer artistic themes for myself since my blog is about my poetry
January 28th, 2011 at 4:42 am
I love the NAME of this theme! It implies good feng shui
January 28th, 2011 at 3:36 pm
Too much clean
not for me.
