New Theme: Beach
I love winter and I bet you do too but if you’re like me you probably don’t like the cold very much. You might be wishing you could take a trip to a beach somewhere right about now. Well, if you can’t make it to the beach yourself how about taking your blog there? Today’s new theme, Beach, will let you do just that.
The Beach theme
Originally developed by Gibbo for Drupal Thailand, the Beach theme can bring the warmth of Thailand’s shores to your blog all year round. But the Beach theme isn’t only just sand, sun, and sea. It has 4 different post formats built-in for short Status and Aside posts, and special styles for Quote and Gallery posts. Beach even has a bonus vertical menu area in the header.
You can read more about the Beach theme’s great new features in the Theme Showcase or activate it on your WordPress.com blog right now. Beach will be available soon in the WordPress.org theme directory for self-hosted WordPress users.
Bonus: If it’s too hot where you are right now and you’d like to take your blog someplace cold, give the Iceburgg theme a shot! Pine trees, snowy hills, and cool colors might just be what your blog needs right now.

Beautiful theme. Probably the best seen here so far. Very neat, perfectly organised. Too bad I can’t change the background picture. I’d love to have a more “formal” background. Can’t you just give us this little possibility please? That would really make it perfect!

Custom backgrounds might not work well with a theme like Beach we have lots of other great themes that do have Custom Backgrounds. You can check them out on our theme showcase.

As I’ve said I love this theme. The only thing I don’t really like about it is each person’s comment takes so much space. Even though sometimes their comments are just one-liners.

I like it! Would like to try it out, but I like the way my blog looks for now and there’s no special urge to change it.
Just wanted to say that I love the bottom of the page – the sharks and corals and schools of fish!

I don’t know that I would use this, but after walking into work this morning with a face numb from the biting wind, it certainly is a refreshing change of pace!

Great colors. And I really like the way it visually separates each post.
The deal-breaker for me with this and others I might have used is that the tagine is too large in proportion to the title. My tagline is fairy long, and it just crawls all over the page at this size.
I’ll stay with my present theme for now, but keep ‘em coming…

For ‘THE BEACH! I think of a big, huge breaking wave, with water covering a area, not just a little bit across the top of a page.

I like it! However, it would be neat to see another beach theme based on photography, for those who like their blogs to have a serious look.

I think it would be much more cool, if it had some fish, sharkfins, dolphin fins, or orcas in the water. Possibly optionally.

Looks good. May be too individualized for customization for some people though. Ok for personal blogs but not commercial ones.

Beach theme is cool breeze. Refreshing for a change.
