New Theme: Minimalizine
We’d be remiss if we didn’t include a brand new responsive theme for responsive theme week!
Introducing Minimalizine, a beautiful, minimal theme designed by Rizqy Hidayat, and perfect for a tumblelog or personal journal. The responsive design means it looks equally sleek on a desktop, laptop, or mobile device, and with support for multiple post formats, it’s a welcome home for any type of content.
Read more about Minimalizine on the Theme Showcase, or activate it on your site by going to Appearance -> Themes!

When are you going to have some more intricate themes available? I like the ones on Shabby Blogs but I rarely see any like that on here.

We’re always adding new themes in various styles — if you have suggestions for a cool intricate theme, please post it in the forums (instructions behind the link) so we can check it out!

Oh, be still my heart! You pegged it perfectly! A true journaling format. Wow.
Jan 11th at 5:44 pm
Hurrah! Love it when that happens.
Jan 11th at 6:30 pm
Amazing and cool! Blogging began from a journaling perspective. Now WordPress is making the format a better fit for that particular writing style! Thank you, I will be checking this out!

Probably a dumb question, but I’m previewing this after using a theme with a single widget sidebar and all my widgets are down one side. I just need to manually rearrange my widgets into the other sidebars to rectify that, correct?
Awesome theme, by the way.
Jan 11th at 6:39 pm
That’s correct! Once you’ve activated the theme, you can move your widgets into the other two sidebar areas. And thanks, we’re really glad you like it!

Really appreciate it. Thanks.

Wow… this looks great.
I’m going to have to make some decisions here…
Thanks!

Very clean and nice looking. It looks like my theme, but the menus and widgets are on the left.
Jan 11th at 9:46 pm
Can I put pictures in it?
Jan 11th at 9:49 pm
You sure can! Read more about how to use images on WordPress.com here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/

Thanks. I think it is too simple for my needs.

I wish to have an ad (affiliate) banner on my blog. Is this not allowed?
Jan 14th at 3:58 pm
Third-party ads and affiliate links are not allowed. This support article explains your options when it comes to advertising on WordPress.com: http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

It’s a very handy theme. Good work by Rizqy Hidayat, I will use it on my MP4 video site.
Jan 12th at 5:43 pm
I would like to see more themes with more widget columns.
Jan 14th at 2:15 pm
We’re always adding more themes with various sidebar configurations. In the meantime, try a search! The Theme Showcase allows you to search for themes by number of columns — up to four. Maybe there’s a theme you haven’t seen yet.

Very clean-looking! I like it!

I still keep hoping for something with a bit more color to it, all these white themes are a little hard on my eyes. I’d really love something that is colorful but not pastel.
Jan 14th at 2:13 pm
We’ll keep this in mind! In the meantime, the Custom Colors upgrade allows you to change the colors however you like. This might be an option if you find a theme design you like, but the colors aren’t quite to your tastes.

It’s pretty cute. I like Minimalizine. Awesome one.
Jan 14th at 1:57 pm
Do they not have a dark version of this theme? I would love to see one.
Jan 14th at 2:09 pm
Not by default, but it’s compatible with the Custom Colors tool, which means you can change the colors however you like!

Very nice! Sometimes simplicity is the best, and this theme proves it nicely.
